2. Question: Do you need to be a known sculptor to be listed in the SWG?

Answer: No. Most sculptors are welcome! Our goal is to list as many fine sculptors as possible; whither it is your profession, vocation or hobby. We do require a link with a description back as that is only fair. That way we get traffic from each other. Also we do not link to free hosted websites because if you are serious about sculpture you need a quality hosted website.

3. Question: Does the SWG allow any site to be listed?

Answer: No. We only allow sites that deal with sculpture, sculptors or related sites. If your site deals with any of the above it maybe welcome!

We do not link to junk sites or sites that are trying to trick the search engines. We do not link to porn sites or sites that promote illegal activity. No sites which depict hate, violence or pornography. We try to only link to quality sites with quality content dealing with sculpture or sculptors. Our goal is to list as many quality sculpture or quality sculptor sites as possible. We do require a link with a description back as that is only fair. That way we get traffic from each other.

We do not have a place in SculptureWebGuide.com for true wholesale. We designed the SWG for the collector to find what they are looking for, not for the dealer or gallery to find a new source or distributor. Sorry.

Because the information and resources of SculptureWebGuide.com portal or vortal relate only to the chosen topics (sculpture or sculptors), users avoid the frustration of being inundated with unwanted information and the time wasted on filtering irrelevant search results.

16. Question: Do you make money from your site?

Answer: Yes. Our sites SculptureWebGuide.com , PhotoWebGuide.com™ and ByronRogers.com are a big part of how we make a living. We really enjoy what we do but believe that producing cool content or a directory without a revenue model is a one-way ticket to the dot com graveyard. We also have the gallery site where we sell the photographic prints by Byron Rogers. These are our sources of income and we work at them 5 to 7 days a week.

SculptureWebGuide.com like other portals has to maintain, develop its services and pay for our advertising on other media. Consequently we are now relying on advertising income to help cover some of the considerable expense. We are a little way from actually making money from the SWG, having invested quite a bit in getting started. Right now as founders of the SWG, we are happy the system works well, is convenient for users and is growing nicely. In the next year or two we will be very happy if we start to turn a profit. Your support along the way is very much appreciated!

ByronRogers.com has been the total sponsor and developer since the SWG started back in January 2010. Starting with the new and expanding SWG we have sponsorships available to other businesses and are accepting banner ads from other sculpture, sculptors or related businesses and industries.
